I’m sorry to read of this. I hope your appointment at the hospital was helpful yesterday?

The volcanic ash cloud got me too and caused the cancellation of my flight to see the surgeon on Monday. I wouldn’t mind except that this is the second time it’s happened and his opinion is much needed at this stage.

I envy you having the support of a sister. In my experience, brothers are useless at knowing what to do or say when support is needed.

And as it happens, Monday was my birthday too but not one I’d ever wish to repeat!

I’ve almost forgotten what it’s like to be able to plan ahead in life without fear of disruption through illness. My adopted motto these days is “one day at a time”.

There’s no stopping you, that’s for sure! It’s amazing isn’t it, how much gets done when there’s a deadline?

Hi Guys – Thanks for this and sorry not to have replied sooner but I am in the process of one of my bucket list items. I caught the ferry to Spain on Friday and drove down to the lovely town of Javea to take my doggy Aura (a very naughty but beautiful Golden Retriever) home to London. You give good advice. My eldest daughter contracted this disease in her collarbone at 17 yrs. of age. The doctors didn’t have a clue at first; suggesting rheuma and even polio(!) until she was finally diagnosed and given the appropriate (broad spectrum) antibiotics. Luckily it was just that one time, but it weakened and altered her collarbone.
